A group of 14 third year Agricultural Engineering students from Greenmount Agricultural College visited the farm this week with their lecturers.
Greenmount is the main Agricultural College in Northern Ireland and this is the second year that head of department, George Wallace has brought his final year students to the Rhynd.
Many of them have worked for contractors and arable farms in both England and Ireland for their work experience and they were interested to see what we are doing here.
Fin gave them a presentation about the history and situation of the farm plus the machinery and precision farming techniques we are operating and then they had a walk round some of the equipment on the farm before going out to see the sprayer and then the seed drill in action.
